FLCL & Kurumi???

I have watched both of these shows (FLCL & Kurumi) and they both show a young boy "with" an older woman. Why is that.....is it just some wired fetish by the creators or do these kind of relationships exist??? I don't care about it all that much but that question has been floating around in my head for a while and there is not that many things I think about due to low brain activity -_-;

Hmm. I don't think you can base that assumption on just two anime...from what I found, younger (teenage to young adult) Japanese girls wanted to date older men, but older women I knew often found younger men attractive. I'm referring more to Japanese women > foreigners, here, as opposed to Japanese > Japanese.

But I think if you look at the world on the whole, sometimes guys get tired of "immature" girls their own age, and start looking to more mature-minded women who are older. Older women could maybe think that men their age are too stuffy or not fun enough, and seek vitality in younger men.
