I'm looking for my biological father's family.
They lived in or around the Ken district, close to a Marine base. In the early 60's my grandmother Yuki Minei had at one child, that we know of, out of wedlock with a Marine named Robert (Cartwright?), his name is Kenichi Minei.
Yuki had 2 or 3 sisters, Mitz-iko & Me-iki (apologies, I do not know how to spell these, so I
did my best to show how it's pronounced.) One of the sister's married a man named Miyagi. As far as we know both sisters stayed in Okinawa and came to the states to visit frequently until around 1998 when my grandmother Yuki passed away from cancer.
I was not raised with my Okinawan family, so I don't really know much. I don't have a strong bond with my biological father and he doesn't remember the important details much anymore. I'm hoping someone here knows or can help find my remaining family and help us reunite. I'm also hoping dearly that my family is not still shamed by my grandmother's indiscretions.
