Dear forum community,

In the German-speaking countries it is often common that there are family chronicles about families. No celebrities have to be present, but with e.g. family tree, memories etc. These are stored in state libraries, some of them archives.

Are there similar books/archives in Japan? Or are there any other tips for genealogy in Japan (we already found Koseki and also relatives, who wrote us back very warmly).

Best wishes

Carsten

Never heard of anything like that in Japan. Beyond koseki I wouldn't know where to look.
