Can anyone recommend good dog-boarding facilities in Saitama, preferably close to Kawaguchi?

We have a calm, friendly three-year-old westie who we don't want caged all the time.

He's trained, but he understands only English -- much like his master.

Thanks folks.

Poor dog. It would be very dangerous if your dog was boarded in Japan, especially if it only understands English. Even if the dog was trying to indicate that it couldn't handle the boarding anymore, or if the torture was too much, it wouldn't be able to communicate with the people boarding it. Plus, as you know dogs don't understand the concept of "safe words" either, so it is even more risky.

It would be even more risky than bringing your dog to Guantanamo due to the language gap in Japan. The chance of your dog drowning or having serious heart issues would be quite high.

"... and make sure your pet clearly understands the risks involved and practice prior to boarding. If there is any miscommunication your dog's life could be at serious risk. Sometimes safety outweighs the fun factor."
