Do these modifying symbols have names?

ぎ gi and き ki

ぴ pi and ひ hi

I was just wondering if the little modifying symbols have special names like Ki and Gi are the same character except Gi has 2 little tricks in the top right hand corner do they have a special name? Likewise with Pi and Hi the Pi is converted by having a little circle in the same place does that have a name? Been wondering for a while... Kinda impossible to google it really and I've not read a single book or website that states they have any special name..

They do not have any special names. They are just phonetic. Just like alphabet letters they are what they are, there is no name or meaning for them beyond how we say them.

I think you are confusing Hiragana with Kanji. A quick wikipedia check about the Japanese language should answer all of your questions.

The two tickmarks are called dakuten (濁点, technical term) or ten-ten (everyday term).
The circle is called handakuten (半濁点) or maru.

I recognise dakuten, I knew they had a name themselves, cheers bud
