I just listened to the clip of the new single, and yeah! Sounds promising on the guitar front, and Hizumi's voice is well on form!

I just got done watching the new D'espa DVD and, well, I love them. There's not much more I can say than that. I couldn't resist downloading the DVD because it's taking entirely too long for my DVD to get here (I'm starting to suspect my landlord is doing something with my mail b/c he's the only one who has access to my mailbox and I haven't gotten any mail in almost 3 weeks and I KNOW that's not possible). Anyways, I wish it had a little more live footage, but I guess it's supposed to be "the world outside the cage" so the whole point was to show what they go through while on tour and what not. Oh, and that was my hair in that screenshot. The parts that looked like the back of someone's head and "big ears" were people's hands waving next to my head. I needed that dose of D'espa, I can't wait to get their new single in April (IF I ever start getting my mail again).
 
im sorry if this was asked or mentioned.....i think i asked but i forgot............i have really horrible memory...........but does anyone know if they r gonna make a dvd for the last tour they had in nyc and fl? or maybe its in the works now? x_x

yea i havent gotten mine yet either and my friend Ady told me that her friend talked to Harry at Diru's show in New York and he said the dvds havent even arrived from Japan yet. :grr:

random but this made me alittle upset: People are complaining about the new single in the Batsu forum. saying "OMG its Jpop" arrr man seriously its not freakin Jpop its still jrock!! ARRR man people make me mad. someone was all like "ohh no and i hope the rest of the single isnt this bad!!!" wthell!! anyways sorry for ranting like this. it just made me upset
 
I don't really like the single either, it's just a preference. I'm sure the rest of the single will be great, though, because it's D'espairsRay. They have yet to release anything bad. Not even "okay", all of D'espa's stuff so far has been great, so I don't think we have anything to worry about. Categorizations like Jpop and Jrock really are arbitrary, though, nothing to get mad over.
 
i noe i shouldnt get mad over something like this but geez...people are being butts man!! all they do is complain and complain...
 
The DVDs aren't being shipped to the US until their new single is shipped. That sucks, but at least if you pre-ordered the DVD you will be able to pre-order the new single, and won't have to pay an additional shipping charge.

I still find it hilarious that you don't like the new single, yet listen to boy bands hahaha!
 
Haha, I don't dislike it for "pop" reasons or whatever, I could care less about that, I just don't really like it that much. I know I said it was "too soft" or something, but I just don't think it's that great, I dunno. Like I said, I haven't even heard it, except live, so who knows, I may end up loving it

LOL i used to like Nsync but i was more of a backstreet boy fan back in the day lol. but hey this girl made a HILARIOUS FAN VIDEO of D'espairsRay using Lil Jon and east side boyz song "get low" its so funny!! here's the link

 
That vid is insanely hilarious!! Its almost scary how well the music matches up with hizumi...lol. I have to say, that is one of the best fanvid's i've seen yet.
 
I havent really heard D´espairsRay, but I really want to see them at Wacken Open Air in germany! Just hope I get down there.. going to be lots of other cool bands playing like Fear Factory^^

Really?! No way is it 'pop'! I mean - not only is it hard to tell just from a clip, anyway - it might not be as heavy as their previous stuff, but come on! it's still decidedly 'rock'.
Maybe it's just me getting old. It seems like a lot of the stuff that would have been 'rock' when I was at school is now classified as 'pop', and some of the stuff that was 'metal' has been kind of 'down-graded' to 'rock'. I'm getting soft in the ears... But I still think this is rock!

Anyway, who cares as long as it's a good song. I think it sounds good so far!

@ Fureya: I hope you get there! You should really listen to D'espa, they are great! And you must see them live if you get the chance!
 
Wow. So people are already complaining about the new song? ☝ Isn't it still not released? Hm, don't these people have anything other to do than complain?


I haven't heard a single bit of this new song, but just one song doesn't make a group "pop". I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but sometimes people overreact, especially when it comes to music.


Ah, Coshh, I understand what you mean about old rock songs being classified as pop. I'm not that old, but I've listened to a lot of music, including rock from earlier times, and it certainly sounds different from today's standards of rock!


Oh well, anyways, I've been listening to the songs from Born a lot. I really like "Mary of the blood." Hahah, that violin bit at the beginning is deceiving...

What's the title of the new single?

but the new sinlge is called "Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana" and translated its "The flower which blooms in the night when it is frozen"
 
That's a very poetic title. and it kind of reminds me of the 'frozen D'espa' pictures!
