Everyones bound to forget something every once in a while. Especially the te-forms, I'm always wondering which one to use "te" or "tte".
For ru verbs: (I.E any verb that ends with "ru" like "tabe
ru") drop the "ru" add "te
miru - mite
It gets complicated after that: Verbs that end in mu, nu, and bu get turned into "nde"
nomu - nonde
yomu - yonde
asobu - asonde
"u" Verbs: The u is dropped and you add "tte".
kau - katte
For the rest:
(anything that doesn't end in ru, nu, mu, or bu and isn't an irregular verb like suru)
The "u" sound gets turned into it's corresponding "i" sound and then you add te.
Examples:
sagasu - becomes sagashite
watasu - becomes watashite
In the case of "u" verbs that end in "ku" the k is dropped.
Example:
kiku -> becomes kikite -- > kiite
kaku -> becomes kaite
hiku -> hiite
There's other stuff but I can't remember it all off the top of my head. Man I hope I got all this stuff right. :?
