Who is the butt of jokes within your country? I ask this because there are jokes from all over the world and the 'victim' appears to be different from every corner and I'm a curious person. For example in England the jokes always have the Irish as the butt of the jokes, I've seen jokes from Canada were it is the people from Nova Scotia. Who do the Irish/Nova Scotians use?

We Belgians always have jokes about dutch people also german,turkish,marrokean..it's because they all live here and dutch and german folks are our countries neighbours..the funny thing is, they always say their jokes with Belgian ppl instead of dutch....mutual 'respect' ?

live long enough, everyone get covered eventually. In the old days, before politically correct came about, jokes were real "NASTY"! Many jokes were based on racial hatred. We had nigger,kike, spic, wop, Polack, Frog,you name it. They seem to be time periods of 3 to 12 months where one group was a target, then would disapear for another group to be picked on. Now days we have nicer named groups, rednecks, blonds, religious groups, but the bottom line seems to be knocking someone down to build yourself up and get a laugh at someone else's expense. It would be nice if we could laugh only at jokes that don't pick on someone or use dirty words but I don't think the real world will ever be that way, unfortunately.

Oh yeah, because the Bush administration's "Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys" for the French is more politically correct maybe ?

Here it's often the Norwegians, but Danes and Finns do appear too (but not as often).

and just like what Rock said about his countries around him, the norweigans commonly use the same jokes but replace "norwegian" with "swede".

Yeah, i know. But the difference is that our jokes are true and theirs aren't.
