Here let me put this another way.
You are at the airport in America, Australia, England, France... whatever. Tickets and passport in hand you are ready to go to Japan.
Why?
Its not that importnat. Maybe its to marry your sweetheart. Maybe its too work. Too buy Anime. Too sightsee. Too learn the ancient arts of
ninja or too see if panty vending machines do really exist. Whatever the reason, you're going.
But while at the airport a complete stranger, someone you have never met, wanders up to security or baggage or the tickets desk and tells them a patently false and made up story about you. They may say you have drugs in your bag. Or you're a wanted criminal. Or you are a terrorist. Or anything else that suddenly impedes or prevents you going to Japan. Why did they do it? Did they suspect you are really doing what they say you are?
Lets say for this tales point aht the answer is NO! They, for some petty reason don't want you in Japan, and they did something to BLOCK you going to Japan.
Now imagine that instead of a stranger the person that told these lies about you, or did these actions against you, was someone you called a friend. Yet who still did this maliciously.
This is what the point of OP's piss and vinegar post. That rgeardless of your intent, someone is waiting in the wings to stop you. Not out of the goodness of their heart, or too help you, or too help Japan (or the girl). But merely because they don't want you to get what you're after.
