Bringing Notebook to japan, Internet?????

Hello, i go to japan in 3 MONTHS YATTA YATTA,

and i will bring my notebook with me, i will stay at my girl her house, and my question is, how can i go on internet, how can i find out about the conf.... ( my girl dont know much about internet, so she wont be able to help me with it...)

anybody know something about this?

Plenty of broadband options depending on location.

ADSL requires an NTT telephone line.

Cable requires cable (really?)

Optical fibre requires extra holes to be drilled in walls - OK in a house you own, sometimes OK in an apartment you rent. It's more expensive – but worth it.

Dial-up and ISDN - yeah right....

Configuration requires nothing special (except fibre optic - then you'll need to buy at least 500 gigs worth of extra hard disks to store all the crap you'll find yourself downloading

if your computer has wireless internet, it could sure help, I've lived in shinosaka and currently, in nara, and as you can see, wireless internet is helping me post. All it takes is someones unsecure connection, and you're good! I just figure it's part of the absurd price I'm paying for rent

having a cable is easy... but i geuss to put a cable in it isnt the only thing i should do hehe ( would be easy ... gna gna gna) what kind of providers are there in japan? and where can i find conf..
