Best time to visit Tokyo regarding weather...

When would you say the best time to visit Tokyo in terms of weather is? I'm told the best chance you've got of missing rain is if you go in November/December time, but I'm told in November/December time it's not exactly cold, but it's deffinately not warm.

I would say anytime but July-August where is is hot and humid. All seasons have their charm - even summer where you can enjoy summer-matsuri with spectacular firework. But you are right about the winter - its quite mild and certainly more pleasant than most places in North America and Europe. When I stay in Japan during Dec-Jan, wich I usually do in order to celebrate New Year with my in-laws, I am always extra pleased that I as an extra bonus, avoid some of the misserable weather we have in Scandinavia during that season.

The first time I went to Japan, it was in November. The weather was nice requiring only a sweater or a windbreaker (while the locals wore parkas) for me. The next time was in August. Hot and humid. I don't recommend this time for a visit. The next visit was in mid-October. It was nice but rainy on occasion.

I am heading over this coming weekend. I am hoping the weather will be cool without rain.

Armand I hate you. I wish I could go that many times.
Any way early spring late winter is also pretty cold. I would sate late spring would be good to go. and maybe early fall not too cold not too hot.

I've gone 3 times in the last 5 years. This coming week will be no. 4. It used to be that I would spend my vacations going around the U.S. camping and visiting national parks. Now I like going to Japan on vacation. Maybe it's because I'm getting older (or is it the other way around?) that my preference is Japan over Yosemite or something.

Then again, like you, I'd rather wrap my arms around a beautiful Japanese lady than a tree.

and because i didn't see dude's question before will answer it now
it doesn't matter how hard it rains imo, because when it rains, it rains a LONG time (imo)
