Art Cube

I saw ART CUBE a few weeks ago at Shinjuku (club) Holiday. Vocalist Seiji looked great but his performance was pretty restricted due to a six-foot long cream-colored boa constrictor he had wrapped around his left arm. The snake eventually slithered up around his neck and under his arm. It was a good show - the first time I had seen them.

My job? I teach English... oh wait... I already replied to this on the Gazette thread.

Anyway. . . I have been in Tokyo for over 10 years and seen more live bands than I can count; somewhere in the neighbourhood 500 different VK bands in 10 years. I have a lot of great memories and have had so much fun it has been like in Visual kei Disneyland for 10 years.

BTW: you live in Michigan... but looking at your name.... are you from India?

I am going to assume you mean.. teaching English? You will do fine as long as you have some experience and a University degree - which is only needed so that you can get a work permit. Any degree will do.

Have you taught English before?

Currently, the climate for teaching English in Japan is not great; nowhere near the gravy train it was five years ago. The biggest chain school (NOVA) collapsed this year after the owner embezzled money and left the country. Since then, people are cautious about signing up at schools and investors more so when it comes to investing in them.

You could always get a job at a chain school called GABA. They will take anyone.. but the pay is crap.

I work at ELS Language Centers, an American-based language school with branches all over the USA and in Canada. There are four in Japan, but you really need solid teaching experience and ability to work here.
