Chile court extradites Fujimori

Chile's Supreme Court has approved the extradition of Peru's former President Alberto Fujimori to face human rights abuses and corruption charges.

FUJIMORI CHARGES
2 human rights charges:
Sanctioned death squad killings - 1991 Barrios Altos 15 killed
- 1992 La Cantuta 10 killed
5 corruption charges: including
- embezzling $15m
- payoffs to congress members
- illegal wiretapping

Fujimori may have once been a politician, but stuff surrounding him goes far beyond politics, so I did not post it under "Politics"

If this story is true then its good news, politicans and presidents always think that the law will not catch up with them.

About time he faced up for what he did.

Although Alberto Fujimori is a Japanese National, with duel Japanese/Peruvian citizenship, and nisei, I believe, results of the trial and documents say more about the US empire than they do about Japan. Fujimori just happened to have been of Japanese ancestory.

Chile's Augusto Pinochet was deemed to old to stand trial.
Indonesia's Suharto died before anything could become of his very bloody rule.

Could former White House occupier, George W Bush be next...?
