i will be taking my first trip to japan in january next year and need some help with my itinerary since i only have an idea on how long it will take to go to the major stops here is what i got so far any recommendations would be great


day one
: arrive at narita airport stay thhe night in tokyo
day 2 : tokyo - imperial palace, Meiji Shrine, Asakusa/sensoji, Ueno Park,
day 3 : nikko - Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple,
day 4 : Yokohama morning kamakura after none night - Ramen Museum, Great Buddha, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu
day 5 : Kyoto - Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kiyomizudera Temple, Sanjusangendo, Kinkakuji, Fushimi Inari Shrine

day 6 : Kyoto
day 7: nara side trip depending on the date since i want to watch the wakakuse yamayaki, Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, Horyuji Temple

day 8: osaka side trip - Osaka Aquarium, Sumiyoshi Taisha, Osaka Castle, Osaka Museum of History, Umeda Sky Building

day 9-10 ise - Ise Shrine, Meoto Iwa, edo wonderland
day 11 hiroshima and night on miyajima - peace park/ museum - Itsukushima Shrine, museum of History and Folklore

ill be flying out from narita most likely

thats that about it so far i figure ill have to split tokyo and kyoto into more days probably since ill end up going north south east and west lol i trip to see himeji would be great aswell its not in this since i was originally planing only 14days but decided to wait and stay longer any other recommendations on places to see for history samurai stuff ect would be great no shoping **** cant stand it but a morning market might be nice. Thanks for the help
 
Busy schedule! Keep in mind that you will definetly have to skip some things during your travel. In fact, why not skip some things already? Japan is already a fast-paced country on it's own, and you might actually enjoy it even more when you can visit your favorite places at a slow pace. Because to be honest, I wonder if some places on your list are worth visiting. I mean common, the ramen museum?!

I suggest you think things over again a few times, knowing that by all means you do not want to get burned-out without having experienced the real Japan.
