2 passports?

I was just wondering if there's any problems with having a Japanese and a US passport. I already know that I should use the Japanese one when entering and leaving Japan, and US passport when entering and leaving the US. But is there any problems with the biometric chips or whatever that are in all new passports?

I'm a dual citizen (Japan/US) and under age 22 so I should still be allowed to have dual citizenship correct?

Basically I'm wondering if there are other people who have both passports and have no problems going traveling back and forth? (with NEW biometric passports, some old ones don't have it)

Thanks for the reply, and well... I read about it on another thread called "Dual Citizenship Tracker"

He didn't seem to provide any evidence of this though so I couldn't tell how reliable what he was saying was. I tried to research if there are other people who have had that problem but nothing came up besides his thread. (I look on other websites and pages too...) It seems as though it was just his own conclusion.. Maybe his friend had a problem but it could have been another reason.
Should I just ignore what he said, or is any of it true? All passports are biometric now, so there's really no way to avoid it.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

There should be no problem

I know of more than one dual US/Japanese national above the age of 22 and they have no problem coming and going from either nation. Just be careful not to confuse passports. make sure you use the Japanese passport for Japan and the US passport for the US. For third countries I suggest you use the passport of the country you are domiciled in, but it may not matter.
