I am sick... bleh... I had to go give more blood for bloodwork today cause one of the test was insanely high... like twice the maximum of what you should have in your bloodstream... they said it may be just a mistake so they'd re-test... I think they just trying to drain me dry by taking so much blood I stupidly looked up on medical sites what the result could mean and freaked out at some of the stuff... hopefully it was a mistake

I am such a loser Here's is the Tomoyuki Day Cake... the camera made it look all decrepit... I guess it's not just my face that a camera does that to... it looks kinda gross (like dirt or something XD) but it was good... :liplick: It's chocolate cake made from cocoa powder and pancake batter and which made it kind of like a sponge cake... with vanilla and almond extracts and the icing is confectioners sugar, milk, butter, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, almond extract, tiny little marshmellows, and that crumbled oreos on top... I wish I could send him a piece... Not bad for having practically no ingredients to make a it and completely making the recipe up out my ***... not that I'd expect anyless from my awesome self

OMG... I got play dolls _^_ it's so good... so dark yet catchy. It beat my expectations... good to know they haven't lost their touch. I admit when they released icy~cold city~ I wasn't impressed... It grew on me after about 5 listens though

I'll upload it if my computer is being agreeable. I'm still downloading the icy~cold city~ PV I'll upload that when I have it. I can't wait till I have money to buy the cd... I only have about $40 extra to spend and I'm ordering ReS's PROTOPLASM and maybe Mizu yume miru chouchou with that money I want to be rich... hey maybe when I get my money back from tax returns I'll have a little extra spending money hmmm... I don't know which type to get though... A or B... I hate decisions...

Whew... I am so tired... I'm gonna leave my computer to upload the cd overnight cause my computer is being really slow... I'm almost out of space and my burner in my laptop is broken. I must say I was turned off by icy~cold city~ at first. It only took listening about it 5 times to change my mind. I was really shocked by the very prominent nu-metal sound. I really didn't know what to expect with the cd after hearing it. I didn't really have expectations other than for it to be good and really stand out from their earlier releases. I really love the cd... it's so different.

Now 12012 has taken on a bit of a new style. It's good old 12012 with some extra variety like a bit of classical piano compliments of Tomoyuki-san... songs that are sort of anime theme songish... hints of nu-metal sound... but fortunatly they get it right unlike Gazette They still have that gorgeous dark yet catchy sound complete with the always impressive vocals of Wataru. The whole band really outdid themselves. I'm always a little worried when bands release their first full-album... I'm always afraid of tracks that aren't that great but are just thrown in make a long track list. 12012 most definitely didn't do this. Each song gives you a sense that this album was very carefully composed.

My review after listening several times to the album... sorry I'm not all technical... my brains shot and I don't know how speak all fancy like... XD

hermit: what a strong first track. A perfect shining example of Wataru's incredible vocal variety. He never ceases to amaze me. It really set a high standard for the rest of the cd for me personally. The song flows incredibly well... it's the one track I just can't stop listening to. I hope if 12012 releases another live dvd this song is on it. I've seen two of their dvds and I know what their live style is and this song I can just tell it would be 10 times more impressive live... if that's even possible. I want to lick Tomoyuki as thanks for the bass... yummm...

my room agony: what an awesome title... I love the track titles on this cd. ok... that's not really relevant XD. Wow... I was not expecting a song like this. Another song that just has a live feel to it... which I think is fantastic because that's when musicians are their best... when in their natural environment. Much heavier sounding at times, but the great thing about 12012 is they really know how to make a heavy track without obscuring any of the instruments and complete with the just the right vocals... a perfect blend. The bass about halfway through... mmm... Tomo-kun... please teach me...

wriggle girls: see what I mean about track titles XD. Something a bit more slowish... so my focus was more on the vocals. I really love Wataru's vocals... they are so hypnotizing and so emotional. His vocals are really unique... on this song his vocals are really sweet. I'm not sure what the track title has to do with anything... maybe he's in love with an exotic dancer or something... haha. once again... delicious bass... I really meant what I said about being able to hear all the instruments... they really know how to use their guitarist... there is such a thing as too much guitar... 12012 really mantains an enjoyable and pleasurable balance for the ears...

icy~cold city~: I was on the verge of hate when I first heard this song when it was released late last year... it was just so drastically different and quite frankly irritating... the heavy nu-metal influence was so disappointing... they did the same thing as Gazette at the beginning... with synthesizing the drumming... I really was frightened at first about the new cd until I listened to it a few times. A lot more English in 12012's music... or maybe I'm just better at picking it up now or Wataru's English is better... XD. OMG... I didn't really pay attention to the drums till watching Toru play in the PV... I really love the drumming in this song even if it's not easily noticable due to the other distracting "effects" in the song. It really has grown on me though... I have it stuck in my head quite often...

with shallow: ohmyeffin'godsofvisualkei is this song lovely. Another slower track. The beginning really got me... starting the song solely with drums then bringing guitar... it's really wonderful the way this of this track progresses... it's an easy listen... gorgeous vocals and nice drumming... The lalala part kind of made me laugh a bit though. You know what I would love to hear... a drum and bass interlude... 12012 should do that... I'll send them a letter

melancholy: I didn't like the way this song started... but the song redeems itself with some parts. If I had to have a least favorite track it would be this one unfortunately... I don't know what it is about it... it just really didn't appeal to me. I really like the bass though and the little drum solo... I hope it will grow on me cause this is a really great album and I am really impressed by how well they nailed their first full album

cheeky doll: another weird title... a really fun song. I love love love it. It's a such weird song... the vocals are almost chilling for a good portion of the song... and mmmmm, bass! There isn't anything about this song I don't like... the guitars... tasty bass and fun drumming... not to mention the odd vocals... It's probly the catchiest song on the cd. Still sounds dark but it makes you want to dance. I have hard time explaining it... you have to hear it yourselves. If I ever join a band I will demand we cover this song at some random gig

calf love: honestly... what's with titles... I guess they are really strange so you won't forget them. Personally if it was me I would call the song "thigh love" but that's me... hmm... not exactly the song I'd expect to be put after cheeky doll... not a song I'd expect at all... I'm kind of iffy about this one. It's more a mood song... meaning you have to be in the mood to listen to it. It'd make a good anime song. I do like it... it's a nice song but certainly not a favorite of mine... it seems a bit out of place on the cd.

the swim: how gorgeous can one band get... this song is really a gem. I could actually visualize a PV in my head just hearing it once... it really amazing... I felt like I was drowning in a weird sort of peaceful metaphorical way while listening to it... It starts off with a piano solo and the piano continues through the whole song in the background... The piano is such a lovely addition to this song. It actually almost made me cry... but just almost... cause the piano solo at the beginning doesn't last long and the rest of the song doesn't make me very sad... XD I don't think there are words to describe this song... all I can say it is definitely one of their greatest songs yet.

queer passion: ooo... pk likes this this song very, very much. *nods* A very fitting ending track. A very strong track... a bit slowish but still manages to give that sense of closure. Everything about this song is just delish. I must say hearing this cd before Gazette's new album may have set me up for the review of their cd... what can I say 12012 really set a high bar in my book for any cd that'll be released this year. It's really stolen my heart.

Extras:

A type - icy~cold city~ PV clip - The PV... I'm not sure what to say about it. It seems like a low-buget rip off Linkin Park video... It suits the song I suppose... I still think the venom is the best PV they've had so far... I love Hiroaki's and Yuusuke's lovely braids and Tomoyuki's stripey tights

B type - see-saw - I like this song... don't love it... the bass saved it... it's probly one of their tamest songs ever. I love the bassline but I think the I don't even know what to call it... noise :? well whatever sounds aren't the instruments... those things... they are unnecessary. This song doesn't really feel like a 12012 song... it's like Kagrra, meets Gazette or something... neither of the extras on the types are really all that appealing to me... but I think see-saw will grow on me more than the icy~cold city~ PV... the PV is just... I dunno... even though they are hot it doesn't make up for it... 12012 are not PV kind of guys I suppose... their PVs aren't very captivating to me... save venom of course for the reasons I mentioned...

Without a doubt a 10 out 10 from me... even if there are a few tracks that don't rub me entirely the right way...
