I'm currently reading a book called セロ弾きのゴーシュ by 宮沢賢治. It's about a boy that has trouble playing his cello but animals starts to visit him at night and helps him to improve. In the beginning he is quite rude and shouts at the animals that come but he gradually becomes nicer. In the beginning he seems to use め as a suffix, I haven't seen this before and don't know what it means. Any help would be appreciated.
