Takamasamune Chikusui 17 Junmai Ginjō Pantobisco Label

Takamasamune Chikuizu 17 Pantobisco Junmai Ginjō (筑水17 純米吟醸 パントビスコラベル) is a limited sake produced in collaboration between Takamasamune and the famous Fukuoka-based designer Pantobisco. The label displays the popular character "Perochi" (ぺろち) and the Takamasamune logo. The sake has a gentle ginjō aroma unique to Junmai Ginjō and has a smooth acidity and ample mouthfeel.

Takamasamune Brewery (鷹正宗株式会社) is headquartered in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. It was founded in the Tenpo era (1830-1844) and incorporated in 1935. The brewery is a long-established shochu and sake producer known for its ties with the local baseball team, the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. Sadly, on 1 June 2023, Taka Masamune filed for bankruptcy with the Fukuoka District Court. The brewery operated under the umbrella of a larger brewer but was acquired through majority shareholdings several years ago by liquor wholesaler Haretake Shōten, which also filed for bankruptcy on the same day.
