Shōfukujin Junmai Ginjō, Echigo Tsurukame's sake for New Year and other festive events, is clear and silky, with a medium body. It has a fruity aroma with citrus accents and a spicy and intense flavour with a medium degree of complexity and nuance; smooth and gentle mouthfeel, faint notes of fungi and narazuke pickles and a hint of pepper; medium dryness with a spicy and refreshing finish. It can be enjoyed both cold and heated. And being a "celebratory sake", it comes with gold flakes.
