A friend of mine has this tattoo but can't remember the exact meaning of the Kanji symbols, can someone tell us what it means... Pic attached...

It means "lives in the present" or "exists now"....I don't think it is Japanese but that would be the basic idea behind the combination of those two kanji.

In Japanese, the characters are 生現, which I suppose would be pronounced shougen. It's not a real word, at least not in Japanese. What does your friend think it means?
