The late music legend Ryuichi Sakamoto's final solo piano concert work, "Opus," has been nominated for a 2025 Grammy Award in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category. Recorded in September 2022 and originally released as a concert film, "Opus" was later made available as an album in the United States. Beyoncé leads this year's Grammy nominations with 11 nods. The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on 2 February 2025 in Los Angeles. Sakamoto previously won a Grammy and an Oscar for his work on the soundtrack of "The Last Emperor" in 1987.
