Thanks for sharing this, @musicisgood! Yamaguchi looks fabulous. My cycle mate and I cycled Honshu from Aomori to Osaka, but Chugoku is still missing! The trip was shelved ten years ago, but we have never stopped planning. To cover the entire length of Hyōgo, Tottori, Shimane, and Yamaguchi, we probably have to split it into two separate bicycle tours. Hope to see you in Yamaguchi one day.

I've done the Yamaguchi, Shimane and Tottori many times. Good roads and camping is usually free. Let me know.
