A 360-degree theater at Senjuji here offers immersive CGI imagery of the Pure Land governed by Amida Nyorai. The building housing the facility is still under construction, but the theater and other parts of the interior were completed ahead of an event in May to mark the 850th anniversary of the birth of the monk Shinran, founder of the Jodo Shinshu. Equipped with a screen measuring 4 meters by 6 meters on each of the six walls, the Rokkakudo hall is being built as an annex to the Homotsukan treasure repository currently undergoing reconstruction. Two programs are shown at the facility with a maximum capacity for 40 people. One is "Ojodo," which is themed on the Pure Land of Amida Nyorai. The other is "Senjuji360," which includes drone footage of the Nyoraido and Mieido halls, both of which are designated as national treasures by the central government, and images of paintings and sculptures kept by the temple. Senjuji spent 845 million yen ($6.6 million) to reconstruct Homotsukan and build Rokkakudo.
