anyway a little intro. i'm 22 years old in California, USA. parents are from taiwan so i speak some mandarin Chinese and am still expanding my reading/writing ability everyday by learning from music and TV. I hope, at the same time, to start learning the Japanese language and develop more insight to the different culture and traditions of... nihongo!

anyway cool site and i think ill be hangin around a lot more.

Yup we're one of the same, we both are curious about the nihongo culture. I haven't even began my first steps to mastering the basics of Japanese but I do listen to a lot of JPOP, play videogames and watch movies... all in Japanese. But the same goes for Brazil and Portuguese.

But I always thought that Mandarin Chinese is pretty cool too. Maybe you could teach me a few words? We could start with greetings, is that aiight with you?
