Yoshiki, Gackt and Sugizo start band together

who knows, crazy things have happened, and I'd think if he was to ever some how come back that this would be the perfect platform...if not kisaki I really have no idea lol.

Yea crazy things could happen XD It WOULD be rather amazing if Kisaki was the bassist... I guess we'll have to wait and see...

yeah it's taken this long just to announce the 2nd guitarist (which will be announced this weekend at jrock revolution in Los Angeles, which I'll be going to!!!!!) I cant imagine how long it'll take to find a bassist, and the guitarists were easy XP. Would anyone else be completely shocked if the guitarist isn't miyavi?

... I think I would be shocked.. O______o but I think it's more because everyone (myself included) already assumes that it's Miyavi to much evidence(?) or hints that it might be him.... so yea I'd be really surprised!

But I suppose whoever the guitarist ends up being it'll most likely be a GREAT guitarist after alll... so far all the members have been great at what they did ....

What I hope that after the finally annonce the second guitarist we won't have to wait forever for the bassist XDD

Is it certain that it's the second guitarist they are goin to amounce at J-rock Revolution? Could it not be the basist?

it could be the bassist I believe yoshiki just said the 4th member would be announced, but if meevers really is the 2nd guitarist it sure fits to announce him seeing as he'll be there for the concerts.

And yes, if Miyavi is part of the band then it would definitly make sens that he was annonced then... Him being THERE and all XD

I always skipped this thread cause I thought it would be the same old rumors I have seen over and over again but I like this thread, so with that announcement thingy going on it confirms that it's realy going to happen huh?

That makes me so excited, But I'm not so sure about Miyavi joining it's hard to imagine him next to Sugizo, Yoshiki and Gackt. his style is so different and he is so much younger I can't explain how I feel about it I just know the feeling tells me it ain't going to fit.

well it's official. Here I am at my hotel in Los Angeles, and the concert was amazing! Tonight meevers, who kicked ***, announced that he is the fourth member of the supergroup! Also later on, yoshiki announced that they are going to be making an appearance at Anime Expo on june 29th!!! The strange thing though is that it seems like there will only be four members, at least, it seems that way...i dunno lol maybe it's just me. XD

But that's the thing XDDD They need a bassist XDDD After all a bassisst is an important part of a band XD I mean, you can do without a second guitarist... but a band does need a bassist... just like a band needs a drummer XDD I mean have you ever heard a band without drums??? But maybe they'll just use a recording? Till they decide to annonce who the bassist is? I'm really curious to find out who it will be though!!!

You don't know how happy I am about it being sure now. I can't wait to hear their material. Do you now if they've already recorded stuff?

Yes, from what I heard they already started recording, they just haven't released anything yet... though they'll probably wait till all the members are annonced before they do XD

C'mon, does somebody really care about their music?? Bleh, people want them just because they're kawaii, you can notice that with the annoying screaming in the video...

So, the new Japstreet Boys still don't have a bass player. I wonder if those st*pid guys that posted in youtube "I knew Miyavi was the 4th, I deserve a price" already know who will be the bass player... some people already know.

I think everyone here cares about the music... I mean sure part if the interest of the band is because it IS composed of people that are all majorly popular.... but they're NOT popular for NOTHING! They're popular because they're good musicians!

At least that's why I like them (though of course I won't deny that I ind them physically attractive as well... that's DEFINITLY NOT the ONLY reason why I like them!!!!) and so the major reason WHY everyone is excited (or at least why I AM....) is because I really expect them to creat something extraordinary.... Who knows I might get disappointed... but till I've heard something then I definitly eagerly await for them to perform!

Oh and I also am looking forward to this bands music as well, I wont lie, I'm attracted to all four, but it's the music I look forward too, you've got four of the most talented musicians in japanese music history, hell I'll say it, just plain music history getting together in one band, it should be something to never forget. Gackt is known as one of the most talented singers/lyricist/writers in japan, yoshiki of course is known as an amazing writer/lyricist and pianist as well as one of the best drummers in music history plus sugizo who's an amazing guitarist and was part of one of the best visual bands ever plus meev's who's only 26-27 and is up there on the list of best guitarists ever. I've even seen comparisons to hendrix. So yeah, they are all sexy sure, but for me it's about the sure to be amazing music they will make together. =]

Act normal man.. I think Yoshiki is ugly,,, But his piano play is great..
I listen to all of gackt his music.. Starting with the fact that Malice mizer is my favorite band.. And he wasn't cute in that time at all.
Miyavi is cute.. But. I think he is cute in the way he is.. Acts and all. I am someone who doesnt like tattoos. (I love piercings tough)

Yoshiki and Gackt did already pass the 30. Meev is the youngest I think...

And I have a lovely story about miyavi.. My brother hates the fact I listen to jap music.. My brother is a guitarists as well. So on one day I sowed him a movie from Miyavi playing.. He respects Miyavi now.. And doesn't say stupid things anymore about the music.. Only about their looks..

No but seriously, I care about the freakin' music!
The only ones in the band that might get attention from his looks are Miyavi and Gackt but he is there because the man can sing even though he looks like something you create in Photoshop and print out, the poor thing can't even make a face expression after all those Botox injections. The others are too old. Well now Miyavi..*shakes head*
Not the best choice if you ask me but I'm sure Yoshiki knows what he is doing...I hope...
Yoshiki collected some of the best musicians on the market (apart from Miyavi) and now they will create something that will surely go down to history. I'm all for it!
I wish Taiji would join the band. Instead of Miyavi.

They won't create anything extraordinary, because the only thing they will agree at all is their performance on stage... this band was just created to excite teenage fangirls overseas, Yoshiki knows that, in the end this sh*t will give him tons of money.

I'm sure they will make low-average music just for compromise, not because they are the greatest musicians in the whole universe, wiii.

Best musicians?? says who?? the music industry THEY CREATED?? c'mon, anyone that knows at least 5 bands in Japan knows this is bullsh*t, you have people like Akira Takasaki, Kouichi Ogawa, Hisashi Takai, Akira Jimbo, Baki, Tsuyoshi Onodera, Hiroshi Sekita, Takashi Masuzaki (among MAAAANY more) that are just unbelievable musicians but don't like to be a puppet of mass media like your "talented musicians".

If your idols have credit for something, is to sell their image like ******, the same thing they're doing right now.

I have a lovely story about japanese music: when I was 8 years old I was very exited with my brother's records and tapes, I thought Yoshiki was the best; then, I started to meet japanese people involved in music and realized that Japan has a HUUUUGE music scene that doesn't get stuck just in Visual and pop... just then I figured out that Japan just sends us their garbage for the happiness of "our" rabid fangirls.

I know about 15 japanese rock bands/artists, but I'm not going to get into an argument, all I'll say is, I for one, look forward to the music, I can see how some fangirls out there could care less about the music and only about the looks or whatever, but some also like myself and achama are in it for the music. And yes, it will be great. BTW, I never compared meev's to hendrix, I just said that I've seen people that have. And what is your issue with this whole thing anyways, so what if they're are mass media ****** as you call them, that does not mean that they arent all greatly talented. Anyways, That's all I'm saying, if you wanna dispute it, then dispute it, I honestly dont care. We all have our opinions, and I respect that.

I don't really want to continue this argument because it's kind of annoying But I'll say this...

I didn;t become interested in Gackt or any of the bands I liked because they were being marketed, hell, where I live.... I'm the only one who's even vaguely heard of Yoshiki or Miyavi.... so I don't think they're all that publicized.... And Actually I can say most (all) I know about Jrock I learned it online...

And to be honest... I didn't bother looking up info on any of the Jrockers I liked till WELL AFTER I started enjoying their music. I mean, what's the point of finding out more about a MUSICIAN if you don't like what he makes?

So okay... yes I like how they look I won't deny it... I have my fangirly moments... like I'm sure everyone does... but I'm a fangirl... because I think they deserve my admiration...

I'm not saying everyone is like this... but I know the people here... that have been discussing who's going to be in it and what not... have been doing so out of a genuine interest for the music they'll make... not simply because they're heavy marketed boyband XD
