I have just recieved a APPROVAL NOTICE for Rieko's visa! :win:
Now it is being sent to National Visa Center before going to US Embassy in Japan to setup her interview. I thought to day was going to be a typical day in the neighborhood.

Needless to say I am happy!

I know it is not the final word on whether she will get it but I am happy they made such progress so quickly.

That's great news! What kind of visa is she applying for?

Congrats! Got my fingers crossed for you!

Wahoooo!!!

Best of luck on speedy good results.

Uncle Frank

Congratulations, Damicci! If she got as far as getting an interview, the rest shouldn't be so hard.

I'm wishing you guys good luck!

Yay, that's cool! I'm really happy for you. I hope it goes well from here on!

Fiance visa. The petition has been approved and will be sent to National Visa Center then The US Embassy, Japan.

Does anybody know the kind of question they may ask her during the Interview process? Also is it in English or Japanese? I checked around but everywhere states how the process works but not what language.

Found a few here:
Sample Interview Questions - K Visa

Gratz on the good news. I'm sure it will all go well, no worries.

I was interviewed by a non-Japanese officer in English at the American embassy in Tokyo. The interview itself was very short and quick. He just asked me where & when I met my husband, and the officer told me that everything looked fine, come back in a few hours to get visa.

I'd expected to go to a room with chairs and a desk in front of the officer, which is how it is in the US immigration services, but it was done over the counter where seemed like a loby.

I would say she can expect those questions on the list you posted, Damian. If she needs any help or questions, you can PM me, and she can e-mail me anytime.

Yeah thank you,
I plan on having her practice alot when she comes here next week. We will go over these questions too.

Congratulations on the APPROVAL NOTICE.

Thanks everyone. VISA hell huh? Can't be that bad

For me its a pain! Every so often you get a letter and they want you to send this or send that and then go here and then send more stuff and then wait and then go here. I think it is easier to cross the border in Mexico to get a VISA. LOL
