Hi all,
I was wondering if I could get some help on this sentence. What is a ハ辻?

玄庵は，ここハ辻が原先の十軒長屋で 、もう十五年も町医者をしている。Is it something like...

Genan here at harasaki's 10 building Nagaya (Edo period long building) has also been the towns doctor for 15 years.

八辻が原(kanji 八, not katakana ハ) is the name of a location, i.e., 先 is not a part of a name.
も doesn't mean "too/also" there. もう十五年も shows that 15 years is long-term "already 15 years long".

Does the 先 in this mean previous or is it a physical thing like tip or front?

先の十軒長屋で. Previous Nagoya.

Is He trying to compare his time in this town as a doctor with HachitsujigaHara?

八辻が原 is read やつじがはら.
先 means that 十軒長屋 is over/beyond/across 八辻が原 (from the viewpoint of the central Edo).

So its describing the place (十軒長屋 ) beyond (八辻が原 ) where Genan has been the towns doctor for already 15 years.

Is there another way to say "beyond" in 日本語？
