What does 「一時曇り」 mean?

In an attempt to surround myself in more Japanese, I recently set my computer and smartphone to a Japanese language interface. My weather app, however, now says that the weather conditions are 「一時曇り」.

Firstly, how is this written in kana? 「いちじくもり」? And secondly, what does this mean? It has an icon like "partly cloudy", but I already know that's written as 「ほぼ曇り」.

If it's on your phone it probably means at it's current time it is 1 o'clock and it's cloudy.
一時曇り. いちじかんくもり

It means a part of the day will be cloudy, but it's otherwise sunny (often seen: 晴れ一時曇り). ほぼ曇り would b a cloudier day than 一時曇り, and 晴れのち曇り means that it starts off sunny and then gets cloudy.

一時 can also mean temporary.

I thought it might be this as well, but I saw this at around 7:45am (and the clock is also displayed on the screen).

Yes, it's still いちじ. As Morphling said, it just means "temporarily/for a short period".

Speaking strictly, as a weather forecast term, 一時曇り means it will be temporarily cloudy and the total length of cloudy weather is less than the quarter of the forecast period. For instance, if a forecast says 夜(from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.)雨一時曇り, it means it will rain and be temporarily cloudy less than one and half hour. As for 時々～, it mean the weather is intermittent and the total length of the weather is less than the half of the forecast period. Thus, 日中(from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)曇り時々雨 means it will be cloudy, the rain will be on and off and the total length of raining will be less than four and half hours.

What does 「一時曇り」 mean?
