Walkie Talkie

HI,
Japan can use Walkie Talkie? What's the frequency MHz?

Amateur radio (ham radio) enthusiasts can use walkie talkies on any of several different bands.

Normal CB radio band walkie talkies aren't available, as CB radio is banned in Japan.

There are transceivers available which resemble walkie talkies. Not sure of the band.

Radio Law article 4 section ii specifies legal CB: maximum 500 milliwatts. 8 channels, namely 26.968, 26.976, 27.040, 27.080, 27.088, 27.112, 27.120 and 27.144MHz.

Specified Low Power Radio: mostly for walkie-talkies, max. 10 milliwatts, 422MHz band, 20 channels.

Personal Radio: mostly for mobile rigs, max 5 watts, 903-905MHz, 168 channels.

Currently no manufacturer produces equipment for CB or Personal Radio.
