Also, telling someone the cost of something, this happened the other day at my store, I knew how to count in Japanese, well enough, but I knew that what I was saying wasn't quite right for say, a price like $13.92...
Now this may be different, because all denominations in Japan are in en, so... does anyone have any insight on this... I found it difficult to say something like jusan dollars to... something cents... I seemed to be understood, but getting across the change was a challange!
Probably an isolated incident, as this isn't how things are priced in Japan, but I felt a little bit lost nonetheless.
