Hi All!

I have three questions regarding three shows in Japanm which I have heard mentioned a lot but do not know what they are about.

-TV Champion

-Mecha Mecha Iketeru

-Pets Pocha and Tama

Can someone enlighten me please??

TV Champion is a program selecting a champ in any fields.
The Nathan's champion Takeru Kobayashi is from the program, A Big Eater Champion.
After the death of a kid immitated the "food fighter", the TV staition has not organized the big eater's one, but it come back this year.
My favorite program is "Hand Skill Champion"

The last hand skill king went thru an item "building 1 yen coin pyramid using mechanical pencil leads..."

Pets Pocha and Tama is a program of your companion aminals.

A popular program is "Masao kun ga iku", or Masao travelling around. Masao kun is a cute and capricious Golden Retriever.

TV champion and pochi tama are popular in other countries like Taiwan.

Kazutoridan, "Counter Game" is one of the most famous game right now from the TV show, Mecha Mecha Iketeru with young and popular comedians

Thanks a lot pipokun!! I really appreciate your input!! However, what is Mecha Mecha exactly? You say comedians are in it, do they have guest appearances or....???

"mecha" is a Kasai dialect meaning "very much".
"iketeru" is also the dialect, "cool".
Mechaike

Hanetobi, or Haneru no tobira is also a comedy program. I think this is more popular than the mechaike among younger generation now.
Hanetobi

Both programs are variety shows showing you short sitcom like comedies, funny games, or whatever. And you're right, you can also find some guests like J-pop singers or actors/actresses in the programs.

THANK YOU PIPOKUN!!!

Masao kun, a popular travelling dog in Pochi Tama, died of cancer on Dec. 9.

I have also seen TV Champion But I thought it was just a test of knowledge in a particular field.

The one episode I was watching was about Department store Items. Crayons, Tape, Pens, Pencils and such.
I remember they were measuring how long a certain pen would last, one lasted for several meters of paper or something like that.

Mecha Mecha, is one of my favorite programs, and I LOVE Okamura!
