Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku proffesors info

Hello! I have passed the preliminary selection of the embassy for the MEXT Research Scholarship, but sor far haven't been able to get a Letter of Acceptance. I am desperately trying to contact pofessors at different universities to find one that might receive me. At a glance the profile for a couple of professors at Tokyo Geijustsu Daigaku might be what I'm looking for, but I can't find a way to contact them. There is no e-mail or means of contact, in niether the english or japanese web page. If any one studies there or knows how to reach the university staff, I'm specially interested in Professors Kawakita Hideya and Nagahama Masahiko, please please let me know!! I am really close the deadline and want to try all possibilities before giving up.

I wanted to apply to This university and its animation school, as i have passed the MEXT exam and wanted to get an acceptance letter as well. Thing is , you have to send the university a self addressed envelope with a certain number of IRC coupons depending on your country, there's a pdf file that you can download from their website. I did what i had to do and they sent me back a brochure in japanese . alongside another leaflet of the names and info about the professors in the department you are willing to apply for and also the application that you have to fill...all the documents didn't have any emails though. I guess they will handle that issue once you get accepted. which according to their schedule should be sometime between February and April .I dropped the whole idea as I got accepted in another university. Actually, I sent my request to an e-mail found on the website and received a standard reply for MEXT scholarship applicants, not quite what I was looking for but at least there's some new info. Thing is it's really different from what I sent to other universities, so I am not sure what to send, if you have any thoughts about it I would appreciate them.

Here's what they said:

<And when you want to get a letter of acceptance, you need to send us these items mentioned below. The professors review following 1-5 and judges
the acceptance of you.

1. your resume (including your academic career or your job ,Japanese ability level)
2. your works or reference material, (including pictures of your works)
3. your detailed, specific plan about your studying at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
4. A letter of recommendation by a professor or others concerned of your university with the explanation of the recommender - as to what title, or
what position or career he(she) has.
5.the certificate of conformance issued as Monbukagakusho (Japanese government) scholarship student from a Japanese embassy>

Does this mean there is no need to send any of the application forms sent to MEXT or any of the other forms and papers with the confirmation stamp from the embassy except for the passing certificate? Also I am not sure whether the resume should be in Japanese or just state my current level of Japanese. And finally I wonder if I could send the recommendation form sent to MEXT, because it would be very difficult for me to contact the professor who signed that one at so short notice, let alone ask her to write another recommendation form on the spot.

If you have any suggestion or thoughts on all of this I would really like to hear them.

Ok this is really weird , well i did send a lot of emails to them but they never replied , and I was a bit confused when they sent me the application in Japanese.
Usually it is the Embassy's responsibility or whoever gave you the MEXT scholarship to send your designated university the letters of recommendation that you already submitted when you applied to the Embassy as you are not supposed to see them being sealed and all .
(This is also what happened when I applied to the other University). However I am not sure of your country's policy considering this matter, I say consult your cultural attache or the person who is responsible of the scholarships from your Embassy.
To tell you the truth in the application that they sent , they didn't list any recommendation letters as a requirement, although am pretty sure that they are needed. I guess they didn't get the idea of me being a MEXT student.
In their application they ask you some general questions like : personal info Education background, sample work , study plan and proposal , ... (I shall send you more details when i recheck it at home ).
In your case, I suggest you send them the items they requested. It is always better to send them your resume or any application in Japanese, however, if you can't you can simply state your level, but mention that you will be improving your Japanese level as part of the scholarship requirements.
I am not sure if this is good advice , but this is what I intended to do with my application: fill it out in Japanese (with the help of my Japanese friend , as am still considered a beginner in Jap ) and work on my Japanese later.
In our country you don't have to know Japanese to get the MEXT scholarship (it is a bonus though) as they give you intensive language courses when you go there.
Am pretty sure the university knows that as they acknowledge the MEXT scholarship as part of their admission.
As for the stamped papers, I believe you should send them the ones you sent to the Embassy, In my case, the Embassy sent me back one copy of the stamped applications that I submitted when I applied to the MEXT scholarship ,except for the recommendation letters. when I asked the Embassy for them , they told me it's their responsibility to send them to the university. So try to ask your Embassy for another copy of the stamped papers before going through all the trouble of filling them out.
