For those of you who are not familiar with 古印最中/ koin-monaka, (and why should you? lol) it is Monaka sold by this store in the city of Ashikaga called 香雲堂本店 (kou-un-doo-honten). The site says they've been in business for over 100 years! Wow. Monaka is basically some sweet redbean paste (anko) inside wafer shells.

The name "ko-in" comes from the shapes of these wafers. They are shaped like old/traditional (古) seals/stamps ( 印 ).
Many tourists take these home as a souvenir when they visit Ashikaga.

There is a new cool app on AppStore to practice TOEIC test:

It's an iOS application that is basically a simulator of the TOEIC test. Users of the app can select two modes: Practice and Exam. In the practice mode TOEIC candidates can practice separate skills and sections of the TOEIC and see the correct answers and transcripts. In the exam mode users can complete all 200 questions under real TOEIC conditions.
The basic features of the app are free, the additional are paid. Check it out!
