TiTech IGP Questions

Hey guys! Does anybody know when we are suppose to get the results of document screening? I have applied to Computer Science (TITECH) department, but still didnt get any notification about my application status or even interview dates. I have mailed to the professor but he is also ignoring me
 

Hey I have applied to Computer Science too and will have an interview next week.

Nope not yet did u applied to Master program? Coz i have applied for Phd position

Oh yes, I guess that's why. Perhaps, this period is for Master student.

Have you guys got your results yet? The results should have been out yesterday (8th Jan 2014).
 
What results? I have applied for Phd and stil did not get anything mentioning my application status. My professor said before new year that it's still under initial screening. What bout u guys?

You may want to ask again. Based on the email sent from my supervisor, it appears to me that the Skype interview was held during Christmas week and there is a possibility that both Masters and PhD are done together (not too sure). The following week I received an email saying that unofficial results will be emailed to us on the 8th of January or later.

The unofficial email sent to me yesterday from my supervisor includes:
- whether I passed the interview and got accepted by TiTech
- whether I was recommended for MEXT scholarship.
- etc.

I applied to the Computer Science department as well.
 
I've emailed my professon on December 24 th and he sayd that my application still under initial screening and be more patient. And so Im waiting) maybe on december they held interview exams only gor masters?
 
Yes I applied for Masters. I am not quite sure, but my reasoning is because the email from my supervisor stating the date for the interview included additional notes for PhD candidates which was not applicable to me.

I guess you can wait until the end of January to see. Which lab did you apply to?
 
Could you tell me what was on the additional note for Phd students? Coz im really getting nervous now. My prof told me to wait the results of paper screening and now i am really confused
 
I am not quite sure how long the screening process is, but I have a feeling that it should have been over by now. Perhaps PhD candidate have a more thorough check?

The additional note mentioned things that the PhD candidate had to prepare like their past thesis paper, application documents etc. The rest is about Do and Don'ts (mostly don'ts). Nothing quite significant.
 

Hey Halfus, Does this mean you got the unofficial result that you are accepted already ?
 
Yes I have the unofficial result and yes I've been accepted.

If so, since I haven't got the email yet, I think I can say that I am not accepted by the program. ;'(
 
Don't despair. I think you should receive an email regardless whether you are accepted or not. I am not sure, but it seems to be that way from the previous posts in this thread.

I asked my professor and he said that in his department, the results, including the unofficial one, have not been delivered or he hasn't got one. This is pretty weird.

If I may ask, did you apply to department of computer science in graduate school of information science and engineering ?
 
Did you ask for a date when it would be released? And yes, I applied for Computer Science. I guess the results are not released evenly. Let us wait and see. What kind of lab did you applied to?
 
No I didn't ask for the date. And I applied for software engineering lab. What about you ?

My guess right now is that the professors got the results only if their student is selected.
 
I applied to a web mining lab. All the best with your results! Let's hope we get to meet each other there!

Frankly, I don't know who else applied other than you and aikin. This thread has been a little quiet since 2013's MEXT.

It would be nice if you can update your status, I think we are, sort of, on the same boat now
