Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaToshi Kubota久保田 利伸 (Kubota Toshinobu, Toshi Kubota久保田 利伸?) is a J-pop singer who is originally from Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is a part of Sony Music Japan. His music styles have varied over the years, from pop-oriented sounds through to reggae and soul.
Kubota has released a total of ten Japanese albums, three English albums, and four compilation albums since his debut.
Kubota made his Japanese debut in 1986 with the album Shake It Paradise. His popularity peaked with his award-winning 1990 release Bonga Wanga. Kubota's albums have consistently sold over a million copies each in Japan. His biggest hit single came in 1996 in a duet with Naomi Campbell entitled "La La La Love song". The single was used as a theme song of a television drama Long Vacation and sold two million copies in Japan.
Kubota made his English debut in 1995 with the album Sunshine, Moonlight, and followed up with 2000's Nothing But Your Love. His latest release is For Real? in 2006.

A thousand years ago, Enka(閻禍), the god of destruction, died with the word that its 'child' would destroy the world. In order to prevent this, the Great Japanese Empire Paranormal Phenomena Bureau of Measures begins 'Operation Cozy Family' (なごやか家族作戦, Nagoyaka Kazoku Sakusen?) (code name: 'code-Olympus'). The family is composed of Midarezaki Ōka, an official of the Bureau, and Midarezaki Kyōka, a self proclaimed goddess, as parents; the children are the candidates, human and otherwise, who are potentially the prophesied 'Child of Enka'. The goal of the operation is to discern which child the prophecy applies to, as well as to teach him or her about the love of family in hopes of convincing him or her to not destroy the world. The story focuses on the mishaps and adventures that the impromptu family experiences together.

The manga started serialized in Shogakukan's manga magazine Shōnen Sunday in 2005. An anime series began on April 6, 2008 and is scheduled to run for fifty-two episodes. Shiina developed the series out of a short story he had written in a special issues of Shōnen Sunday. The series was essentially the same, except for the fact that Kōichi Minamoto was named "Hikaru Minamoto", and he also had psychic powers.
