Does anyone else in Japan hate these scumbags?

Not the normal nampa guys that just try and find love by talking to a cute girl on the street (heck I've tried that on the train).


I mean the guys with bad perms and bad suits that patrol places like Hachiko Square, Shinjuku Eki, Machida, Yokohama Diamond etc.

The ones that basically pounce on ANY attractive girl and try to get her too work in things like hostess bars, soaplands or porn flicks.

These guys irritate the SH*T out of me.

The way they harass girls, stalk them for about 10 odd metres, block girls paths or even physically grab the girls to stop them walking away.

Scumbags.

Although I wish the girls would do a bit more to stop them. As it is most girls just look down and try too ignore them and walk faster away. Just once I'd love to see a cute little Japanese girl whirl around and crush her knee into a talent scouts balls.

Thoughts?
 
Never seen this myself... Only because I've never been in areas like this, or to Japan.

However, I am for the idea of the girls "removing them" from their space in the most violent way possible.
 
I was walking back from school with some friends and a guy tried this. Gave him a dirty look and he backed off pretty quick.

What I find more annoying are the foreigners (mainly black men, but i don't want to get stereotypical) who work for ghetto clothing stores and will follow you around trying to get you to come in. Or the pimps out on the street, offering 'fresh romanian girls' rofl
 
I knew a guy who actually got chased down the street in Shinjuku by a couple Nigerians.

Then again, I think he stiffed them on the bar tab.....


 
I see the scouts all the time in Himeji, they are definitely scum of the earth. A couple months ago as I was walking across the street in front of the station there happened to be an attractive young woman crossing just in front of me. As she got to the other side there was one of those black-suited fuckedup hairdo creeps waiting for her. She tried to ignore him and brush past, but he forcefully grabbed her by the arm and yanked her over to him. Just as I started to think about intervening, she slapped him, pulled her arm free and ran off. Good for her, I thought. These guys are definite scum of the earth and deserve a good beating.
 
While I don't know how the law system works in Japan, wouldn't that be considered assault or something if they were THIS aggresive against a woman?
 
It probably would, if any of the young ladies cared to press the matter. Things like this, the police sort of take an attitude of there ain't crime if there ain't no 被害届出
 
True. I'm waiting for one of them to be flipped on their *** by some judo girl. Most of my female friends can do it to me (im 5'10", 75kg)
 
One thing that is funny is that a lot of the Nigerians (and other Africans in Japan) pretend to be from New York and wear hip-hop clothes and such to try to impress the girls.

from what I see and hear the law in Japan doesnt care to much about women and those creeps.
In the prefecture where I live they passed a law a couple years ago regarding those prostitute cards you see all over the telephone booth etc. That once a cop or whoever found the card would call NTT or wherever and the number would be cancelled. There were all these beauracrats having a little party about the new law.....acting as if they were doing the right thing. We there are cards all over the place if not more than before. Japan doesnt take this stuff seriously.

Your comment reminds me of past comments I have read in other places of foreigners whining about how they went to a police box and griped about something and the cops did nothing.

Here's a hint: If you don't ask to file a 被害届出 (higai todokede), then they won't do ****. Until that written complaint is made in such cases, then nothing "officially" happened and there is nothing to "officially" take action on.

So unless the girls start going and filing complaints, then no, nothing is going to happen. People love to ***** about the system, but nobody wants to take the time to learn anything about how it works and how to get it to move on their behalf.
 
And people aren't going to be bothered to fill out a small mountain of paperwork (knowing japan, it would be a small mountain) just for some jerk on the street doing what they do best, being jerks.

exactly right! not a matter about "bitching"......the cops are hopeless over here for that stuff....and the "system".
 
I did read recently that they can now be charged for trying too scout under 18's.

But theres so many loopholes too it.

The paperwork initially shouldn't run over a page or two; there are standardized forms for this. Of course, if the victim really intends to go all the way through, there will be more investigation and, potentially, the need to testify at a trial.

Is it a hassle? Sure, of course it is. I wouldn't insult your intelligence by trying to tell you it wouldn't be. But there's no point in folks complaining that the police don't do anything when the victim hasn't bothered to report it.

There are plenty of systemic problems in the police structure in Japan. I'm interested in this field, have done quite a bit of reading of Japanese source materials on it, and am always ready to discuss it with anyone who has actually bothered to inform themselves of factual aspects of the problems. Unfortunately, foreigners rarely bother, preferring instead to just take out their frustrations in group bellyaching sessions.

Then blame society, not the cops. I'm all for heaping criticism and scorn on them or any other party when they have it coming. But I don't see how anyone can blame them for inaction when they don't receive a complaint.

When it comes to criticizing the Japanese police, we could confine ourselves to cold statements of strict fact and have more than ample material to bog JREF's server. Which is one of the reasons I find the sort of grousing going on here to be such a waste of time.
 
Its still alot of hassle for something like a guy grabbing you out on the street, talking to someone is not a crime (even is they are ****** annoying) and grabbing someones arm isn't going to cause anything more than a stern word if that.

Where are you from Amazing? I can tell you that here we have plenty of problems, bikie gangs, drugs, gangs. Gangs are a good example for this, sure, people dont like them but theres nothing wrong with a bunch of people getting together.
 
I know exactly the clowns that you guys are talking about. When I was living in Tokyo I saw these dudes numerous times. I used to meet up with friends at Hachiko in Shibuya a lot, and I would see the same guys doing the same old thing. These guys weren't trying to spit some nampa, but rather they were trying to recruit either dancers or hostesses for their clubs. I saw this tall-looking cat time after time, he was trying to be all spiffy with his suit. This guy was smoking cigarettes and talking on his cell phone the whole time I was waiting there. I guess this guy was trying to pay his bills, but he didn't seem to have much luck when it came to spitting some mean game. Many of the guys were real chummy with each other, and they often conversed with all the other supposed pimps. It was kinda interesting to watch these guys try to work their magic. It was like a fish seeing the big ol' fat worm on a hook, and they were off to the races trying to get that bait (the girls of course). However, the majority of the time the girl would just straight up ignore the dude, and the clown would eventually give up. I never saw any groping, or any other inappropriate touching(not to say that it doesn't happen). It was just an occasional tap on the shoulder, but if the light was red, then these girls would have to hear more of what these guys were trying to offer them.

I also hung out occasionally around Kabuki-Cho in Shinjuku. Now in these parts there were a plethora of male escorts trying to slang their services to random girls. A friend of mine was telling me about one of her friends who liked to go to these male escort clubs and drop ridiculous amounts of money on some conversation with these goons who think they are basically god. Deep in the heart of Kabuki-Cho I would often to run in to some okama (drag queens), so that was a different. Hence, you can see a lot of crazy things in Kabuki-Cho.

There was a group of guys that could get me pretty irate though, and those were the dudes trying to get you to go in their dance or strip clubs. They had no concept of what "I'm not interested," means, and they would follow my friends and me for blocks before realizing there is no way that they were going to persuade us to go to their club. I felt like swinging on a couple of those dudes, but in the end they would stop following us and go on to the next unfortunate person. I had many interesting experiences in good ol' Tokyo, and that's for sure!!
 
Let's not lose sight of the very basic fact that these guys do sometimes succeed at their task. Not all girls are averse to their approach. Doesn't make the guys any less scummy, of course, but they wouldn't be persisting in this sort of activity if they never had any success at it.

Same sort of thing with the "how to get laid a lot" manuals that float around the Internet*. It all boils down to having any moral scruples surgically removed and a complete lack of the sense of embarrassment.

* The real ones that is.
