kogetsuI didn't take notice at all! I only heard about it when my friend from Japanese class said she'd seen them because she happened to be at the anime con. I know Hyde recorded an album here... but I don't think has ever played here! Which is a shame. I'm sure we'll start getting some of the bigger bands once they realise there is a demand.

Gaxnela The airmiles are more my dads than mine... They keep canceling mine... it baffels me... I thought they just accumilated until I used them... but apparently not! Where are you from? I don't reconise the flag. ::feels slightly stupid!::... Ah Philippines... it says... yes I was being stupid!

dakkii HMV is mainly a music shop but also does a lot of DVDs. It's one of the biggest in the UK. I'm guessin it's not that big outside our country. Aswell as it being quite big it is also quite mainstream... so is shockin that they do J-rock!
 
HMV is a major record/dvd shop over here. It's like as popular as Virgin megastores would be. You guys used to have them in the states but they got bankrupt o.o They're big in Canada though.

Gaxnela: Yep ^_^ I can't find that certain band though. I added them on myspace, i'll try and find their name later on!
 
dakkii: Like what CharismaticDeath and kogetsu said, HMV is a music store... I know it has branches in HK, Japan, and UK... I wonder if they're gonna put branches in more countries... We're still first... haha

CharismaticDeath: Well, airmiles are still cool! Yes, i'm from the Philippines. I also got somewhat surprised that HMV also does jrock!!!

kogetsu: It's ok... I'm just happy the jrock is going to far places...(from Japan at least) ^_^
 
Gaxnela Some HMV's are better for J-rock than others... I think the one in Singapore (biggest in South East Asia) actually has a proper J-rock section... I'm goin to try and persuade my dad to left me go there this holiday... I mean it's only a 5 or 6 hour drive from KL!!!

Airmiles will hopefully get me another upgrade to business class! I managed that one once... over 12 hours in ecomemy is not fun!
 
CharismaticDeath: Yeah, I think that Singapore would have a nice jrock section because they have a lot of fans and a lot of bands do covers there! And I aggree, 12 hours in economy is not fun... especially if it's a straight flight...
 
The flights I'm doin at the moment are not direct but might as well be. The first leg is to Singapore then I have like a 30 min flight to KL. After the 12 hour journey to Singapore the last thing you want to do is get on a plane again! So all-together its more like 13 hours in economy!

Yups I certainly have... and have to wonder if the music in the background is a hint of their sound!

Not long now till their debut... I can't wait to hear footgage of it!
 
it's definatly a hint lol, it's so cool huh? I love how it sounds too, the little hints of gackt's vocals, the intro piano followed by yoshiki's drums and the guitars, it's definatly them, I wonder if it'll be like an intro on their album or something, it'd be perfect for an intro
 
It really would make a good intro... I can't wait for them to do an album!


Tomorrow is their debut!!! I really wish I could be there.
 
well tomorrows the big day! Anybody going? I hope someone takes videos!!! I'm sad I wont be there but I blew all my money on flying to LA a month ago for JRock Revolution. I think it's safe to say tomorrow I'll be thinking of S.K.I.N.
 
At least you got to see JRock Revolution! I'd have killed to see that!! So many good bands in one place at one time... the mind just boggles!

My thoughts will definately be with SKIN too... even if I couldnt... also I will be sending jealousy mind bullets to all the people there!

omg it's today i almost forgot ...so sad i can't see them tonight but hopfully they come to texas or at least near here so i can go.
 
A lot of people were saying how this band will never work
And that Miyavi like..doesnt belong or whatever [which I think is BS]

I think that the reason Yoshiki chose Miyavi was because he saw a little bit of what hide had in Meevers. So Gacchan will just have to buck up and deal with it lolz XDD

[first conversation I had about SKIN with my friend "Gackt and Miyavi? FTW" Lol]

Every band tends to have a lot of ego, sure this one has...a LOT of it..But I'm sure it will work

I can't wait until they start making music and releasing it and stuff :]

MYVsGirl: I'm not really saying that thi band would never work... I'm just wondering how long they would last because the fact is, It's really hard to say so yeah... I agree with you on why Yoshiki chose Miyavi... It all makes sense now... Well... now Gackt should just endure... XD I can't wait for their music too ^_^
 
oh well I'm happy Yoshiki made such a band I mean so many good musicians in one place it's like OMFG and about their lasting... hmz well they can split after maybe um... atleast 8 albums
 
None of the footage I've found is very good quality... but you can pretty much get the idea!
I think there are more but I haven't had time to watch them all yet!
Oh gods I'm goin to be adding to this all day aren't I!

They weren't too different from what I expected to be honest. You can definately hear the different influences... even with such rubish quality!

Gah I really want good quality stuff... that gig filmed properly... or a PV... or anything!!

EDIT: Oh I found out...it's ju-ken, the bassist of gacktjob.
Why him...<_< I don't think he's bad or anything, just I dunno I figured they would pick someone else.

well, actually there isn't really a proper j-rock section in SINGAPORE's HMV, but there are actually quite a few j-rock albums/singles available, u'll jus hav to go to the Japanese section (which is at level 3) den u will be able to find them (arrange according to the name of the artists eg. A-Z).
