No problems with the actual physical science. Its more to do with the philosophy underlying the science.
I am used to questioning everything in science. That is part of the scientific method.
It seems though, from the small amount of Japanese research I have read at this stage, that the very great respect Japanese hold for their elders and superiors means that often things are accepted when in my culture, as a normal part of scientific study, they would be questioned and challenged.
