Samurai Champloo

i downloaded the series from bit torrent... i loved it...
 
I don't get any anime channels or anything where i live, and the selction is pretty poor in the shops, so i just read the anime reviews and take a bit of a lucky pick and order the dvd's online- i have to say though that samurai champloo is definatly one of the finer purchases out there, absolutely awesome

gosh! it's been five months and i haven't seen the 2nd dvd yet! i wanna see! and this one guy said that it had a great ending cause they actually found the sunflower samurai.
 
I've seen three episodes of Samurai Champloo, I'm planning to watch the rest of it soon. It's a great anime :]

I've only seen one episode--the one with Jin and the woman who was sold to a brothel to pay her husband's debt--but it was f*ckin' incredible!

I also read the first volume of the manga--both are excellent, but I can't help but notice how different the manga is from the anime--it's like they're different series.

Or perhaps the episode of the anime I saw was uncommonly moody...

Either way, I love the both.

The Samurai noir with a smooth oldschool style hip-hop soundtrack of the anime, and the hillariously violent and unrestrained antics of the manga.

Also, this is officially the best manga line ever:

*Mugen and Jin are fighting in a restarant, destroying everything*

Fuu, the waitress: Please stop!

Mugen: Fine, I'll stop

Jin: Me too

*both turn and point their swords at each other*

Mugen and Jin in unison: "Right after I kill this guy."
 
Have any of you seen the anime Samurai Champloo. I think it's the best anime ever!

Yes! Samurai champloo rororororororrorocccks lol (dj sounds) i like the episode where fuu still keep saying words and were a guy is still saying in the background(dj rapper JIN-jijijijijijijijijijjiijj-JIN) i like it its made of the creator of Kreatos and Cowboy Bebop
 
Ahh, this series is pretty good. Not only in a 'techinical' sense (animation, music, etc), but on so many levels! The story is well told, they managed to give us a little insight on every main character and they also dropped little bits of humourous things that make the whole thing better altogether.

My favorite character in this anime is JIN, that gorgeous samurai that travels around the world with Fuu and Mugen, looking for the "samurai who smells like sunflowers". I love his personality, his looks and his Japanese voice. He's got such a cool attitude!

Surprisingly enough, I watched this series just by chance, because I devote myself to watch animes were my favorite voice actor plays some role. And he's got a role on ep. 5 (he's the famous artist who has a crush on Fuu), so I watched the whole series only to see that ep. 5.... And I ended up being a fan of the series itself, in spite of the fact that my beloved's chara wasn't at all important.

Anyway, a very good anime series that I reaaally like.

I watched some episodes and they weren't to bad. I like the style they made it in.
 
I've also only seen a few episodes. It was a long time ago, but I can remember that my favorite character was definitely Jin.
 
I love this anime!!Jin rocks,but still i prefer Mugen's style of fighting.
well at least Fuu is kinda reliable so she didn't annoy me^^

I don't know why I can't really like Mugen... ☝ It's not like he's annoying or anything but... I don't know. Anyway, it somewhat reminds me of Spike, from Cowboy Bebop. But I simply can't resist samurais, so... Even if Jin didn't have the personality and attitude he has, I guess he'd be my favorite anyway!
 

This is definitely one of my all-time favorite anime's, I've recommended it to almost every single one of my friends.

action packed, loud, so so so so so funny,
and mugen is my sensei............
 
I thought that it was an alright series, not my favorite, but the music...wow. I love the music. I listen to it quite a bit. So mellow and laid back. Some of the best music ever in an anime series.
 
One thing i love about samurai champloo apart from the cool artwork is the storylines in the episodes that the anime has which aren't directly related to the overal plot, i love the way they merge Edo japan with elements of modern japan and more.
I can't remember the exact episode, but i loved the one where they had the kimono clad shamisen playing and singing assassin lady in it, her singing really put the icing on the cake for that episode in my opinion, very cool stuff .
 
Samurai Champloo is awesome x] i stayed up till 2:00am just to watch it on TV yesterday xD I think it's funny my favourite char has got to be mugen. He's just plain awesome ^^ sunflower samurai O_O
 
I like the humor, the music and the characters, the story is well-built Spiku Spigal from Cowboy Bebop was a cameo in of the episodes.

I really liked it and im a fan of it.
Pity that Belgium doesn't have all the dvd's.
There was a movie of Samurai Champloo but it was more a merge of the last episodes.
