Salutations

My name is Jayden. I am 20. I live in Perth, Australia. Been studying Japanese for a little over a year now. I've been somewhat half passive in my study, and I have recently started to take a more proactive approach. Hence, I will probably be posting various question topics in the relevant section.

I can understand basic sentences and whatnot. My vocabulary is somewhat basic and I only know a couple hundred kanji. My main reason for joining is to get answers to specific grammar/colloquial related questions that can't really be directly googled/googletranslated.

Hoping to spend a semester in Japan next year to give myself the opportunity to develop some decent speaking skills (unlike listening, which can be developed by watching shows and whatnot).

Couple things:

- I love Kanji
- Japanese verb conjugations are the bane to my existence, although I appreciate them
- I don't really watch anime all that much, if at all. I'll only really watch it nowadays for listening exposure.
- I love piano and boxing
- I've been a member of various forums (be it animation, programming, electronic engineering, piano, boxing related) for the last decade.

I won't be helping you with your language questions much (I get by well enough, but I'm not an authority at all and won't pretend to be, though I might answer easy questions), but I'm around.
