Robotics placements in Japan

I was thinking of signing up to the JET programme. For those that don't know, it's a programme for people teaching English in Japan. It can be for one year or up to five. My problem is, I wouldn't want to go alone, so I was wondering if anybody knows of any Robotics apprenticeships or placements in Tokyo or any areas associated with the JET programme.
