You good to be true that I can do all ten required years doing what I really wanted. And my first thought was permanent residency, but I figured that later on, if I'm gonna permanently live in a country, might as well get the same rights as the citizens by becoming one, and I figured sooner or later I would go for citizenship. And you're wrong, by the way. You can absolutely get a head start, such as learning the language, reading the constitution (which I am currently doing), figuring out the basic laws, (since I want to be a lawyer), learning the culture, even finding an ideal sponsor for your visa (meaning what school you want to go to or what place you work for) and saving money (since I will probably self-sponsor myself financially)
