Blushie??? What is that? :?
...yea they are relaxing. There just not a band I listen to when I am actually wanting to really listen to the music... I've tried... I get really spacy and lose focus and start staring at cracks in the wall and stuff.

heh, yeah, pura'll do that to you... but... have you heared melencholic and Sangatsu Itsuka? thoses two for me i'm thinking are my faves... but yeah...

heh, a blushie... like, a cuddly toy i can take everywhere and nurse it and feed it, and tuck it into bed and hug when i feel sad and love for ever and ever and ever and always ^.^

um... i'm slightly hesitant about bringint this thread back up but... don't worry, i'm not gunna try and force them in your face again like i did Kagrra,.... i've come to accept that Pura just isn't for some people....

but... i recently got my hands on the 20 page Kagrra, special edition of the Soxx magazine, volume 151.....
and i was so distracted by the utter beauty of their picture on the front page i didn't even notice the other bands mentioned on the cover.... but when i did i nearly burst into tears to see the mane 'Plastic Tree' pringted right above the katakana for MUCC...

anyway.... when i finaly got used to the fact i had images of Plastic Tree in the magazine that was now sitting in my lap, and looked at them all properly, then tryed to work out if i recognized any Kanji (of cause i didn't).... i noticed this -

now... um, you can't read the last word all that well, but it does actually say 'final'

....... shamfully i dont know half as much about Pura as i do Kagrra,, and i don;t have a constant supply of updated knowledge on them.... but please tell me that this word is just refering to their final tour in the year?

I got an email from CDJapan the other day telling me they are releasing 2 CDs (I think they are "greatest hits" collection) called "shiroban" and "kuroban" on October 26.. Although I can't find anything on the official site ☝
 
I got some Japanese magazine with pictures from FINAL concerts. I'm pretty sure it only means like the last show of the tour or something *pats on head*
I think Puras pretty nice by the way. Merankorikkuru(Melancolid) is listed as one of my favourite j-rock songs of all.
But if I listen to them for too long I'll fall asleep...

yeah... for a long time wen i couldn't sleep, the only thing that would help me was Pura and ReS... but... i honestly couldn't say why i love them so much.... i think there's something amazing about Ryu's ability to but foword so much emotion by... in reality doing so little...
he just has this... 'aura' about him...
 
I'd be upset if they were to disband, too.. Although maybe less than you would be.. (But I think when Dir en grey disband I will be completely useless for a long time...) Let's just live in denial that it will ever happen ok?? OKAAY? lol XD

I love Ryutaro's lyrics.. and I love the lyrics to "comic youth" which are actually by Akira ... yeah you know I'm a lyric-*****..

tho.. i was kinda confised by all those other random people writing songs for them... you could really tell that it wasn't Ryu tho... i mean... the lyrics (even tho i couldn't understand a word of it) were completely different... still good songs... just... i dnno... they were different for Pura... or different for waht tey were doing at the time anyways...

but i think you can tell when Ryu hasn't written the song too...
like... when you listen to Harusaki Sentimental.. there's no denying that he wrote that, lol... but then songs like comic youth... i guess.. the others write the more 'up beat' songs, lol.

hmm.. In 'comic youth'.. the lyrics are not exactly that... cheery lol But yeah the music is up beat A lot of my fave Pura songs were written by Akira actually.. at least the music
If I think about my absolute fav Pura song... it would probably be Chiriyuku Bokura :haihai:

lol, i don't think Pura could do a 'cheery' song even if they tryed XD (well... unless Akira wrote something about raman, lol )

There are Pura songs I haven't heard, too.. I have 4 of their albums (and two copies of Cell umm.. what happened was I bought a 'regular' version over the net while I was in Aus, and then when I went to Japan I found a first press version in a CD store and of course I had to buy it.. god I spent so much time in record stores in Japan ) but yeah.. they have so many songs ☝

March 5th.. Sangatsu itsuka? that's a great song too Another one I love is Kuuhaku no Hi...

yep... Hide and Seek, toromerai, shirokuronikuru and Cell is what I have... I have some singles... I think if you look in the right places you can find their older CDs, cause I only bought Hide and Seek last year in Japan... and I think they had other older ones too. Funnily enough it was at the record store called "Closet Child" in Harajuku... lol

xD the bonus track.. yeah it was like... "I thought this was a Pura CD, not Dir en grey??" But I like it It's crazzzyy.

Ah! Finally! A thread on Plastic Tree!
I too, have been hearing less and less of pura.. (the new songs) I seem to like the older songs more
(but that's probably because I have yet to hear new ones )

Ryuutarou has a very beautiful.. and unique voice.. so many jrockers sound similar now.. but one can distinguish his voice right away.. Many may find his rather delicate voice irritating or boring... but, in my opinion, his voice is so very powerful The way he sings the songs... every breath he takes, every note he sings, brings forth an emotion..full of sadness yet calms you down at the same time.. hmm, it's really difficult to explain the sensation Ryuutarou brings you you just have to keep listening, and find out for yourself

And thank goodness... that pura is still together... I am planning a trip to Japan next year... and hopefully, I will be able to catch a few concerts here and there Pura is definitely a first on my list

And a few of my favourite pura songs~ Hmm...
I love "Zetsubou no oka", "tremolo", "tsumetai hikari", "lira no ki", "akai kutsu", "chiriyuku bokura", "veranda"...
...and ..and...so many more

(which... kinda annoys me.... i love the man more than anything else in the world... but... Plastic Tree's a group effort... so... it annoys me that everyone foccuses just on him....)

lol I think what you're looking for is "ganbatte".. the verb is "ganbarimasu" which is like "to work hard to do something" or "to persevere", and if you're telling someone to do their best you can say to them "ganbatte (kudasai)" or "ganbare" in some situations... SO yeah we would say "ganbatte" to Pura
If you're saying that you will persevere to do something/at something it would be "ganbarimasu" (polite) or "ganbaru" ("impolite")

but, it was a really good one, so i got a bunch of info on the others... but.... not very much at all in comparison to him
