Hi we are coming to Japan for a week in March next year, and definitely wish to go to Mashiko and the Mingei Museum in Tokyo, then Kawai Kanjiro's house and the Raku Museum in Kyoto. We thought Bizen could be possible, if we have time, amonst all the other things we would like to see anad experience in such a short time frame. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding Japanese pottery, stoneware in particular???
Many thanks

Yes.
Don't know if you'll have time for a trip down there though.
It is maybe half way between Fukuoka and Nagasaki (which I also highly
recommend visiting for the obvious reasons)

from wiki

I have not been to the Ceramic Fair, but I have been to this street.
There are sooooo many stores here.
Then our host mother took us to see her friend in a residential area.
There was much cheaper dishes in stores there.
