Hi all, very specific I know but I am looking for any information on what a person would have seen if they walked from Osaka to Lake Biwa, just east of Kyoto, just after the great Osaka fire in 1909. This is research for a novel I'm writing so any information however small might help.

Bit of a long walk. Have you worked out a route?

Hi, thanks for the reply, some photos there I hadn't seen before. It is a long walk but the characters will be walking all the way to Hokkaido over a few years! As a route I thought straight up the river would be logical, but I'm open to suggestions.
