Hello!

I'm a nisei Japanese-Canadian, female, born and raised in Toronto, educated in the Boston area of the US, and am now living in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, with my Irish husband of 3.5 years. I work in software (computational linguistics).

My first languages were both Japanese and English, and as an only child I was fortunate enough to have maintained Japanese whilst growing up.

I have a cobwebby personal (English) web site and a Japanese site as well where I've been conscientiously keeping a daily blog since April 30 of this year.

I hope to participate here and contribute what I can. Yoroshikune.

Actually...

Hachiko-san, both my husband and I directly contradict all Irish stereotypes. :?

I've had one Guinness ever since I arrived here, in fact. Of course, if it were actually affordable, I'd be inclined to go out more.
