Finally it's over: it appears as if North Korea's Unha-3 rocket has been launched and failed at a very early stage after take-off.

North Korea launches long-range rocket

Time to wrap up the Patriot units stationed in central Tokyo. "PAC-3" has been become a new household term in Japan.

Now I wonder how Kim Jong-Un will turn this into a victory of the proletarian masses of North Korea.

Although I'm glad it is over, I kind of wanted Japan to shoot down that missile so that everyone could see that the do have balls.

But same as you, I also wonder what we will see from the lovely screaming Korean news reporter

Pyongyang Jane is a handful indeed. And those rocket scientists... I don't want to be in their shoes.

oh yeah that was today. Nobody in Seoul seems to have paid it much heed

The Marmot's Hole テ「竄ャ窶 Korea… in Blog Format is a Korean-related news blog run by a long-standing expat, and it just barely bothered to make an open thread regarding the launch. The news coverage it links to is from the US. More empty smoke.
