Member Relay Talk Vol. 3 Ni~ya & Hitsugi
The third shot with this members' relay talk is bassist Ni~ya and guitarist Hitsugi. Since they both love alcohol, we borrowed an oshare cafe bar in collecting data. While drinking alcohol, things changed into something (?) with the theme of "change." We listened to them talk about various things like their on and off jobs to the type of women they like.

Mutual Change
Ni~ya: It's hard~
Hitsugi: Speaking of change doesn't change things and if I was to say I didn't change at all, that would also not be it. I think whenever change happens, I don't think about it.
-- Because you're always together right?
Ni~ya: I don't really know since we're not together so often.
-- Then what is the spot where it hasn't changed?
Ni~ya: I think Hitsugi's way of thinking has become more grown up. But he hasn't changed at all when it comes to his way of playing.
Hitsugi: What? Way of playing? (laughs)
Ni~ya: Your way of playing in itself has changed, but I think it's the mood you have fun that hasn't changed.
Hitsugi: Well it's not good if I don't laugh at something.
Ni~ya: Even when Hitsugi works or plays, he's a person who knows how to have fun.
Hitsugi: Probably when we were planning someone's birthday party.
Ni~ya: Cut first.
-- Whose idea was it (the birthday party)?
Hitsugi: Before this, we had a birthday party for Ayabie's *Kenzo when it was just the two of us at the start who went out shopping for delicious food. On the way there, I said "We should call out some more friends" and I went to the shop to wait for everyone to meet up in secret. The members of Ayabie as well as our members' (Nightmare) lead the way. Before going I said "It'll be really good if all this goes well, so why don't we go buy a present." I've thought about how much I love this kind of happy gathering. During Ni~ya's birthday party we didn't congratulate him or anything, but we got him darts as his present.

Ni~ya: I'm really happy.
-- Then, when Hitsugi looks at Ni~ya, has he changed in any way?
Hitsugi: Wellﾂ…
Ni~ya: Heart of a *sukebe? (laughs)
*Tohoku-ben for 'leecher.'
Hitsugi: Yes, yes.
Ni~ya: Hey! (laughs)
-- ... The playing heart and leecher's heart.
Hitsugi: Ni~ya hasn't changed based on his dependence. I think he has a manly image, but it's not a thrusting manliness but more of a gentle one.
Ni~ya: I'm happy you didn't come out and say it. (laughs)
-- It's older brother-like, isn't it?
Hitsugi: In being the practical second son, you don't experience growing up by looking at the back of your older brother.
-- That's Nightmare's only second son.
The Change in Being Separated from Parents
Hitsugi: I know the value of my parents.
Ni~ya: I know, I know! It doesn't seem to become like that when you're all alone.
Hitsugi: It was bad. I realized this when I just left Tokyo at the moment I was there doing laundry.
Ni~ya: Impossible, laundry! (laughs)
Hitsugi: I didn't put any detergent in when I was washing since I didn't know how to in the beginning (laughs).
Ni~ya: (laughs) Wasn't that bad?
Hitsugi: Then I often thought about the coin laundry during the middle of a tour, so I added the detergent powder into it and did it over once more.
Ni~ya: I like to put a soft dose (softener) on mine (laughs).
-- It's pretty when it becomes soft, doesn't it?
Ni~ya: Yes, yes. I want to see it settle in filthiness or something like that (laughs).
Hitsugi: It's troublesome to do it in the thousands each time, isn't it? That sort of thing is something my parents do everyday along with meals. This kind of ordinary thing is a little surprising to me.
Ni~ya: After that it's cleaning. I still can't do it well in my own house, but is it possible to do it completely?
Hitsugi: Yes, yes. Even the kitchen, the toilet and the bath probably.
-- Comparing to that moment, how did you become triumphant?
Ni~ya: Well, it was average with laundry. Folding clothes was more or less the usual.
Hitsugi: Yeah, me too (laughs).
Ni~ya: Well, there's a lot of that. Doing it over 1000 times becomes something like putting it on (laughs). At first, I didn't know how to separate the trash, like the ones that's to be burnt and not to be burnt. I remember someone was there to teach me that.
Hitsugi: Since garbage day had been decided for the week, I'd think "This is bad. What should I do?" when I have fresh garbage I haven't thrown out yet just before a tour.
Ni~ya: I just leave it for the time being.
Hitsugi: If I leave mine, problems will happen since I have treasured living creatures there... (laughs).
Ni~ya: Fresh garbage is scary isn't it~
Hitsugi: I throw it out as soon as possible because of that. If I don't, I usually seal it in two layers of garbage bags.
Ni~ya: Living by yourself also gets lonely. When I was still a kid, someone would always be home when I said "Tadaima (I'm back)." But when I go home now, it's pitch dark. I became homesick at first because of that.
Hitsugi: It is lonely.
-- How long did it take for you to get used to it?
Ni~ya: I don't know whether or not if I can recognize it even now.
Hitsugi: Probably when I became all right by myself. Whenever I go back to my parents place, no matter how old I become, they would always say "Brush your teeth" and I'd respond with "Okay." (laughs).
The Change Between On and Off
-- What is the difference between your on and off clearly?
Hitsugi: In the old flat, my senses came out through the TV and the radio before, but it's as it is now.
-- How was Nightmare's Hitsugi's senses before?
Hitsugi: I would think what kind of image I have, but I don't think about that now. I think that's what's changed. That and the difference during lives which is neither off or on.
Ni~ya: My senses has an involuntary switch built in.
Hitsugi: Yeah, after that my private life didn't become as strained. Is it?
Ni~ya: But, how would I say this. I get nervous on the radio though.
Hitsugi: Ah, which reminds me. Ni~ya is weak at live broadcasts (laughs).
Ni~ya: It's more than impossible live!
Hitsugi: You're nervous because you're not used to it, right? I know you're always nervous live.
Ni~ya: On the contrary, if my nervousness disappears during lives, it's good when it stops.
Hitsugi: You're right. It's hard to not be nervous during a live. If you're able to do it, then it'll become a good live.
-- Then, what hasn't changed about the usual Hitsugi in this interview?
Hitsugi: It's probably the same. When a person's character stands up, I feel its absolute origin and it becomes very important. When the original character comes out for everyone to know, I think that's the coolest. That's how an adult should become.
Ni~ya: After all, if the origin is really cool, then it's cool anywhere.
Hitsugi: There's no meaning in becoming cool then. If that's the case, then anyone in this world can become that way.
Change of Likes in Women
-- Adding on years, have you reached a point where you were looking for different parts you would like in a woman?
Ni~ya: Ah~. That hasn't changed at all for me. A family-oriented person.
-- A person who takes pride in their cooking?
Ni~ya: Absolutely (laughs).
Hitsugi: Cleaning and laundry as well?
Ni~ya: Already a perfect person.
-- Did you feel this way when you were a junior to senior high school student?
Ni~ya: When I was a junior high school student, the person I came to like was... nope, there was no one (laughs).
Hitsugi: Wasn't that person cute though?
Ni~ya: Yeah. Seriously though, I thought "That person likes you" was probably when I was around 20 years old.
Hitsugi: (Surprised) 20 years old?
Ni~ya: Yes. That's why I won't change what I like for awhile. I don't seem to give that kind of appearance.
-- Isn't appearance important?
Ni~ya: Yes. Well, it would be good not to go there (laughs).
Hitsugi: (laughs) A framed wish?
Ni~ya: Yeah. But as I thought, it's probably the inside.
Hitsugi: I didn't have an interest in family-oriented people during the time I was a student. However, the way I feel now is the band is the first thing I think about and if the person understands exactly how that is, then it's good. I don't think it's a good thing, but between myself, the order with this is my parents are first, next are the members, then it's my hometown friends. The person who understands this and goes out with me is number four.
Ni~ya: What would be second and third for myself then?
Hitsugi: Well this may be a bit cold-hearted but right now it's music, my parents, and friends are parents. So if a person doesn't understand that, then it's impossible.
Ni~ya: But as expected, a person who has the power of understanding is good, isn't it.
Hitsugi: Yes, speaking of that. It may be close the image I have of my mother. My parents usually roll up their hands and have something good inside so a person who is wrapped up like that is good.
-- Your two points may be similar.
Ni~ya: Yes. Then men in this world probably have the same feeling about this, I think.
Hitsugi: A person who like appearances become like that, but it's crucial you're suited for it.
Ni~ya: If we're married several years after and are still attached, it'd be good to think "Her face is cute and her personality is extremely good" (laughs). The world may have this kind of person.
Hitsugi: They exist, but majority of the men are impossible.
Ni~ya: Yeah, they really can't.
Hitsugi: If only they accepted doing regular housework... This isn't anything in particular with me, but when your finger touches the edge of a window, I wouldn't say something like "This is dust?" (laughs).
Ni~ya: I wouldn't say that either (laughs).
Change in 2008
-- What would the band like to change individually?
Ni~ya: There isn't anything I'd want to change individually, but with our current band lives' changing organization is something I feel good about.
-- You want to see change in the lives?
Ni~ya: Well, we don't want a dramatic change but regarding the live, I think we can absolutely do a more interesting one with various challenges.
Hitsugi: I also think individual change is something I want, but that's not it. Saying changing from now to something now is what I'd like a lot. However, it's a spontaneous change and I think that's how you become an adult. Even though I want this band to have an unshakeable position, I also want more power from it. That's the target of music as well as the lives... My intention right now is to become stronger so I can say "We're at this level." This achievement for 2008 may not be possible though.
Ni~ya: For 2009 and 2010.
-- What do you think is necessary for the current Nightmare in order to do that?
Hitsugi: Well it would be the tours. We haven't done a long one recently.
Ni~ya: With the middle of this tour, there are more and more new things there. Basically, that's our live.
Hitsugi: At first, when the band first wanted to do tours at the start, it was fun when we did the 36 area "Denka Daiboso Tour" but we have to wait in making a direction for a long tour.
Ni~ya: Yes. In addition, I think there's something new we can see right now
GOD, Hitsugi is to adorable i swear, sometimes i don';t think he realizes it i really really enjoy this interview it was nice and intresting
and they really express how they feel and i understand =D!
And i also heard hitsugi talking about wanting to have another long tour, ohhh i wonder if they will go over seas *___*!! i really hope so
AWW and when hitsugi talks about his parents it's just to cute especially when they say "Go brush your teeth" and he still replies "okay"
