My Father was a US Marine that was stationed in Okinawa. He came to Okinawa with the L day landing 4/16/45. His job was to string communication lines and basically help set up communication. He didn't share much about his time back then, except for a few fond stories of a little boy he "befriended". I can't remember the boy's name but in 1945-47 the little boy would have been maybe 10 years old???? My Dad's name was Duane and his Nickname was Boob. I would assume if the little boy was still alive today, he would be in his late 80's or 90's.... I am wondering if this little boy would have told any stories to his children or grandchildren about his friend the American Marine... I don't know how to locate any local facebook threads/groups or anything like that to put my question in. I just found this forum.... Thank you for the opportunity.
