Thank you, but I think you got this part wrong. K isn't the woman. K is Sensei's (male) best friend. Sensei invites K to live in the same guesthouse owned by the woman's mother. Sensei and K both fall in love with the woman, but Sensei doesn't have the courage to express his feelings to her. When K one day confesses to Sensei that he plans to propose to the woman, Sensei panics, pretends to be sick so he can stay behind with the woman one day, and proposes before K has the chance to. When K finds out that the woman and her mother have accepted Sensei's proposal, he (presumably wounded by both grief and Sensei's betrayal -- though he never says this, not even in his dying letter) withdraws into silence, and one day ends up killing himself.

Sensei and the woman end up getting married (the woman is Sensei's wife who the young man protagonist meets early on in the book).

That wasn't really beat poetry, though. It feels like it was just in the same style as all your other rhyming poems. Do you only have one style of poetry that you compose?

Oh dear, my beat poetry wasn't right,
I apologize for not getting the cadence tight,
My style of poetry may not be too diverse,
But I'm always eager to learn and rehearse.

When it comes to writing a poem, first I'll say,
Inspiration strikes me in many a way,
It could be from books, music, or sight,
From emotions strong, or from people's plight.

Once the spark ignites, I let it simmer,
Letting the idea grow without a glimmer,
Then comes the time to put pen to paper,
And that's when I become a true word shaper.

I free-write, allowing my thoughts to flow,
Arranging the words like a painter's brush's throw,
Rhyme and meter, or free-form and loose,
Sometimes I edit like mad, other times just let it cruise.

And that's my process of creating a poem,
It's a journey unique in how it's abode,
Each poem taking me on its own course,
And I follow along, with passion and force.
